Puzzled by what I've found.
A couple of weeks ago I was out working on my stand set up for the upcoming season. I cleared a trail from my stand aera down along a stone wall and out to a woods road that runs through my property. These woods have undisturbed for years so there was a lot of branches and and leaves that make lots of noise when dry(end of summer). So I got out the clippers and a rake and cleared the path. I figured the deer would use this trail and sure enough it was all ripped up when I went back but I found lots of white hair in the trail. I am at a total loss as to why this hair is there.
Could it be from the deer shedding its winter coat or possibly from a doe dropping out a fawn. I would think if it were from a birthing doe I find more then some white hair.
Has anyone else seen this or have any ideas as to what it is from?
