Default RE: 338 Win Mag or 300 Weatherby

I would not have any qualms about owning a 300 RUM in a Sako 75 and after reading that thread in AR my feelings have been justified ( YES BC the group was .675 at 300 yards a five shot group with a 300 RUM, The LSS shot .75 at 100 yards). Too many people own both and have nothing but praises for them. I have owned a number of Weatherbys and they simply cannot touch a Sako in overall quality/accuracy or a Remington in accuracy. You may have to almost spend as much as a weatherby tuning a Remington but it will shoot . I think the Sendero is way too much gun to lug around Elk hunting or any big game hunting where a lot of climbing is involved , you'll use it one hunt and get rid of it. I used to be a factory ammo shooter a few years back..Anytime I bought a new rifle I would go out and buy 10 boxes of premium ammo in that caliber and 10 boxes of cheap stuff to shoot offhand practice with using a total of sixteen boxes in practice and then having 4 boxes or so laying around for the hunt. When it came to Weatherbys this was a very expensive proposition and until recently I had a small mountain of various Weatherby brass in my Garage. The Weatherbys shot better then average and were consistent and trouble free but they cannot touch a 700 or a 75 accuracywise just no way.
