Default RE: Who Practices Year-Round? Is it REALLY Necessary?

How about this twist .....

I can pick up any of ya'lls compound (assuming its tuned and around 28" draw) and I can shoot it better in 20 minutes than I can with my longbow after shooting it for 3 years.

What do ya'll think of that ? It is a true statement.
Theres no arguement from me that compounds are quicker to become proficient with for hunting. Like I said before , it's about the hunt itself.

If your proficient with your trad bow when you step in the woods and hunt within your known capabilities , how is the hunt it'self more challenging than the compound hunter who does the same?

You asked before why so many hunters shoot compounds over traditional?

I cant answer for everyone but I'm sure there are several reasons. Most probably look at it like everything else in life and assume newer must be better. Others (like myself) , started out with traditional and switched to the compounds because they were pretty entrigueing. Others probably use compounds because they realized they just dont have the time it takes to stay proficient with a trad bow.
