New York State's special youth season made one new turkey hunter very happy on Sunday. I (left side of pic) and Pro Staffer Craig Sleeman experienced the thrill of a first kill all over again. What a great reward to call in for this fine boy, Tyler Hagenbuch.

Surprisingly, we heard very little gobbling and only saw one group of 4 jakes that approached our decoys. It was chilly and raw so at 7:30 AM, Tyler took a fine shot and cleanly killed his first eastern turkey
