Default RE: Hunting Africa

South Africa offers aspectrum of opportunity to the hunter, both from the game chased perspective (and method of "pursuit"-spot & stalk, blinds)) and the armament required. Essentially, once you have the financial wherewithal, you can hunt everything from dangerous game (the big six) to varmints. Typically, you hunt large tracts of land (the game belongs to the rancher) and pay a daily and trophy fee.
An alternative way to get to hunt SA is to know the farmer <img src=icon_smile_wink.gif border=0 align=middle>. A lot cheaper <img src=icon_smile_big.gif border=0 align=middle>! Just to qualify the above statements, I'm an ex-South African now resident in Canada. Grew up hunting in SA, using the social/family connections <img src=icon_smile_wink.gif border=0 align=middle><img src=icon_smile_big.gif border=0 align=middle>.
