I know for sure that ferreting is illegal in Iowa, and I'm reasonably sure that it's illegal nationwide.

I do have two ferrets, one hob and one jill, but they are pets.

Is it true that you use a net with holes big enough to allow the jill through but not the rabbit, and then send the jill down the hole to fluch out the rabbits into the net? Then send the hob down to drag out the jill if necessary? I remember reasing that in an old hunting magazine years ago.

Other than hunting with dogs, the only other type of animal assisted hunting we can do is falconry (which, IMO, would be a seriously cool sport/hobby to try, but it's hard to find falconers to train under).
