Finally, Saturday is the day for the Oryx hunt. originally the hunt was to be a two day hunt. 9-11 changed that. The hunt is taking place on White Sands Missle Range and is a once in a lifetime hunt. I cannot remember the last time I was so wired for a hunt. I've already got a case of buck fever. A mature bull Oryx supposedly goes around 600 pounds and a cow nearer 450 pounds. All hunters are required to meet at the gate to the Range at 0600hrs for a mandantory safety briefing. The hunt starts at daylight and ends at dark. Wish me luck, I need it.
