I'm on the side of "FPS mean nothing", at least not for most hunters. I've never missed an animal because my arrow was too slow, even back when I exclusively hunted with a recurve and logs for arrrows. I much prefer the benefits that heavier arrows offer - quieter bows, more efficient energy use, more K.E., easier to pick arrows with a spine on the stiff side and getting better fixed blade broadhead flight.
