Default RE: anyone use calls on bears

Yes....This works vey well But you have to choose the call that fits the area. you dont want to use a calf call in an area where there is no elk...etc

The best way is to locate a feeding bear check the wind and see if you can get ahead of the bear to set up and begin calling. Keep calling until the bear is within I would say 40 yards.(This is the tricky part) As soon as you stop calling "Most" of the time the bear will stop and you dont want the bear to find your location(its comming in to EAT) you want to make the bear look for you and present you with a shot opt. not come right in head first chopping his teeth....No shot there just a hungry bear. I have called a couple bear in using this method...It works well....But either have back-up or pepper spay with you if the bear locates you before you stop calling..."Just for insurance"

Good Luck!!
