Default RE: Ruger Vs. Remington

ORIGINAL: 280AId

Ruger action is sloppy.
Ruger's actions are strong and by no means sloppy
Trigger isnt much better.I'll agree their triggers could be better.

And the avaliability of aftermarket goodies is almost nill.
If a rifle is designed right you don't need aftermarket parts.Ruger M-77's are well designed.

There are more custom rifles built on 700 actions than any other.
I'm sure there are more since the Remington 700's have been around allot longer then the Ruger's have.

good luck finding a reputable smith willing to use the ruger action.
A reputable Smith will build what you want and with the action you choose.

. The only ruger I find appealing is the old tang saftied version. The new ones are junk.
I don't know what Rugers you've been looking at.They by no means are junk. Their quality is allot better then Remington's are today.

I would grab it. And I hate 270s.
Apparently you've never used a 270Win.It's one of the finest cartridges for deer sized game.

You are entitled to your opinion, I disagree with most of what you said. Thankfully there are other makes and models for people to choose from. It would be a very boring world if everybody like the same thing.
