Default RE: crossbow help in new york

RWK, I simply wondered if you'd even tried contacting NYB for help? Its really too bad about your condition. I can understand your feelings. But we as a whole also need to look at the WHOLE picture as a state, and all bowhunters. Not just our individual selfs. I personally don't have a problem with disabled persons using a crossbow to continue during the archery seasons. But I fear it being a stepping stone to all out crossbow use for anyone during archery seasons.
As far as your conditon do you own a crossbow, and tried shooting one? Its sounds like your condition could be difficult to hold up a crossbow too. Is there any chance of future strengthening to possibly keep a bow up? I was thinking maybe a draw locking device for you could be another possibility also.
I'd also like to add to bhw. The main reason for scopes being allowed on muzzleloaders, if you ever followed that legislation. Was for persons of lesser vision, and couldn't use iron sights anymore. Now everyone can use a scope.
Your all for scopes, crossbows by everyone. Whats next rifles in turkey season!!!!!!!!
