There is a reason to your madness. Your carbons are smaller in diameter then the aluminums, therefore they set further down in the rest, making the nock high. Are you shooting cock vane down? The vane might be hitting the bottom of the rest. Look for color on the rest, or waves in the down vane. Just a thought
