Well, I congradulate you for going out and trying one yourself. I see so many people take these forums and gun myths as facts. And you my friend have learned a valuable lesson. That 99% of this is pure entertainment and conversation with like minded people. While I am not into Eurotrash either, and think the yuppies idea of "if its the most expensive, it has to be good", or "European products are so much better", I have yet to shoot a inaccurate one. The bolt may feel sloppy while opened, but may be very square and tight when closed.

The kicker for me is the extractor. All of my remingtons these days gets a 110 dollar sako type extractor. I hate that unreliable c-clip remington uses.
