Default RE: Bait for coyote?

It would be pointless
I would have to disagree with this statement. A coyotes home range will vary greatly from one area to another. The size of the home range of a coyote depends on several different things such as coyote density, food supply, cover, weather, etc. If you started putting out a bait pile and once a coyote/coyotes find it, and you keep adding to the pile as they take away from it, they will not go far from it. Besides, a coyote can travel a long long ways, so for a coyote to have a home range that would take it weeks to cover, it's just not probable. The only reason it may take weeks, is if it finds a better source of food and cover with less competition for that food and area. Coyotes are territorial, but the size of the territory they live in can change do to an array of reasons.
If you start a bait pile, it may take them weeks to claim it, or even find it if the coyote density is low. After they find it, keep adding to it and they will become regular visitors to it.
