Ok I admit the word "purist" might be a little too far over the edge. Maybe a bit drastic. Those guys are cut from a totally different mold. I do agree that there is more stuff a guy can carry with them out to the woods that is completely unneeded. I do it myself. When I go, I have a backpack full of junk. Do I need it? Probably no, but when there's nothing going on....all the junk just passes a little time when your messin with it.
