Every once in a while I'll run some test on different makes of brass in a particular rifle, especially if I'm after extreme accuracy. The last time I did this was on some .270 Win cases that I intended to use in a new .30-06. The Federal fell out first, then the Remington and I ended up using the Winchester cases again. This has, with only one or two exceptions, been the case. Winchester seems to be mush more consistent in weight as well as thickness and length. I hope that this will be of some help.
