I don't believe that the stabilizer could be that brittle and nothing be wrong with it unless it come from the factory like that. I would definetly give them a call or e-mail to let them know.These stabilizer's are supposed to be rugged and take the abuse ,they just don't break like that under normal condition's .
If you decide to change stabilizer's give Jerry at Stealth a shot ,a lot of us on this site are using them and really like them,they're an excellent stabilizer.
