Default RE: Ruger Vs. Remington

Let me give you one example.....I bought a Ruger #1 varmint rifle in 6MM rem. It was beautiful.....pretty wood.....all in all a piece of pride in ownership. However at the range the best I could do was about 2.5" groups no matter what I tried.

I returned it to ruger.

I got it back and now the best I could do was about 2.87" groups.....Again I returned it to Ruger and again I got it back.

Again the groups was well over 2.5".

I went to the phone and called Ruger asked what load they was using to test the gun before they returned it to me.....I didn't get an answer.....I asked what was their standard of accuracy they was testing it to. I didn't take BS for a response and demanded to know their testing standard.....They finally admitted that their #1 varmint rifle's standard for accuracy was 1.5" at 50.....(YES 50) yards.

I owned a M77 in 7MM Mag and it wouldn't feed the shells up to the bolt from the magazine......fire a round and open the bolt and a new round didn't pop into place to allow the bolt to feed it to the chamber.
Ruger sent me a new magazine box that did exactly the same thing!!!!!

Screwem!!!!!
