There's been a helluva lotta complaining lately about Remingtons and their service department. I own and have owned many Remmy 721 and 700 rifles and thought they was very fine rifles.....but haven't bought one in several years so I can't confirm this complaint.

I have two Ruger SA revolvers and like them but it's the end of the road for me when it comes to Ruger long guns....I've shot some good ones but the two I owned was enough!!

Personally I'd be looking at the Howa, Winchester 70, Tikka, Browning A-bolt, or any of the mauser based rifles.
