Ruger M-77, I've had Remingtons and they were okay.I bought a 700 ADL about 7 years ago strictly for hunting. It has performed well.Once I bought my first Ruger M-77 that was it.I haven't looked at a Remington since.Well I did look at a 710 and couldn't believe Remington would release this kind of garbage.Ruger's come with integral bases and a set of scope rings. This will save you 50.00 or more when you buy a base(s) and a decent set of rings for the Remington.Ruger and Remingtons MSRP are both high. Both can be found much lower then the MSRP. Before I would buy a new Remington I would look for a used one. Remington's quality has really slipped along with their Customer Service.I receive the wishlist from
www.gunsamerica.com daily. There is always new and used M-77's there way below Ruger's MSRP.I'm not saying the Remington 700 is junk but the quality isn't there like it use to be.I think the Ruger has Remington beat hands down. One last thing Ruger's customer service is second to none.If for some reason the Ruger has problems Ruger will fix it. They will make it right.
