Ok like someone said before pick up a Remington and then Pick up a Ruger ... WHile both are accurate rifles and the Ruger has some design improvements over it , the Remington wins out in handling and feel. DId I forget resale value its no competition at all and if you decide to upgrade barrel and etc you'll find a lot more equipment for it as well as gunsmiths who will work on it. I own Ruger,Winchester,Remington,Browning,Weatherby and now Sako once again so I am not really biased toward one brand or another.
