Oh boy, the eternal .308 vs. .30-06 debate.

I choose the .30-06 because of the (slightly) higher velocity and energy. Not to mention that it's proved its value a million times over in the past century, and it will remain a classic for years to come. The recoil doesn't bother me one bit (I really don't notice much of a difference between the two), but some people psyche themselves out before even shooting it.
