I've never used a 1300, but I do believe this is why they call it a "speed pump" and if I understand it correctly it ejects the shell by inertia which is similar to the benelli. Look it up on the winchester web site it tells all about it. Seems to me if you put a spring behind the bolt you'd have an auto!!!
