I think that camo is needed to a certain degree. I have several shotguns that I would not want to take out into the woods due to thier being too shiny and reflect the sunlight too much. You can get away with not camo'ing your gun as long as you don't move it around. The wild turkey may not see or pay attention to it as long as you don't move it. Once you move around with it, you may get busted. This is why I have camo'ed my turkey guns out with regular old spray paint or have bought them that way. It gives me a little piece of mind knowing that I could move a little bit without being seen by a big tom, even though anything is possible.
