Default RE: Home brew lube

I have no experience with that mixture but I use two and a half cups of pig lard, two cups of paraffin wax, two tablespoons Murphy's Oil Soap, and a Tablespoon of Olive Oil that I run through a double boiler. I also add 10 drops of red food coloring to give it a color.

After it sets up, you decide. If it is too solid for your taste, then you add more lard. And on the other hand if your mixture is too soft, add some more paraffin wax. The Murphy's oil soap and Olive Oil will help keep the fowling soft.

I use it to lube all my homemade conical bullets, and as a patch lube for round ball. I also use a homemade Moose Milk for a patch lube. Both work very well.
