You are on the right track with that selection. In my experiences with the .270 you would probably have to hold one to my head to get me to talk bad about one...lol. FINE FINE carttridge.....you can do anything with it and you just cant go wrong. I have a BDL in 30-06 very good shooter for the caliber. The BDL's are nice looking guns as well. I'd say you made a good choice.
