YUP... probably some pesky vermin got your camera. When I hunted with a recurve I always carried a spare sting in a plastic tube in my pants pocket. When I got in my tree I took it out and hung it or set it in a crotch or something. I forgot it and left it in a tree one day. I went back and hunted the same stand the next morning. Some pesky scoundrel chewed that thing into a mess of broken up plastic with needle sharp teeth holes all over it. Probably a coon or opposum
