I agree with Redhawk's post. I will add that you should beware of anyone that tells you that a gun safe is fireproof. There's no such thing. Gun safes are fire rated to offer protection to a specified tempeture for a specified period of time. The trouble with the rating is that there is no standard on how fast the test chamber is heated or where and how many sensors are placed on the safe during testing. If you have a minor fire you can expect a reasonable degree of fire protection, but if your house goes up (God Forbid) expect all to be lost. The difference is Cannon will repair or replace the safe at no charge to at all.
