You can use charcoal from a fire and mud. I read an article quite some time ago about a guy who "hunts" deer by stripping down completely naked, covering himself in charcoal and mud and moves through the woods extremely slowly, often taking a couple of hours to cover a few yards.

This guy was reported as having touched passing deer by letting his fingers drift across their backs like a limb.
