Definitely a different style of bow....longer, heavier and not quite as efficient as the current models. However, it is not old enough that I would consider getting a new bow especially if it is new condition.

As the others mentioned, take it to a reputable shop and get some new strings/cables put on. Also have them give it the once over. You should be fine.
