Even though I made a comment about the .308, I have to agree with "HORNETGUY". A good 30-30 is a good pig gun too. Although for distance past 150 yards, a .308 is more powerful and accurate than the 30-30. Also, with a .308 there is no punishing recoil, especially with a ported barel that I mentioned earlier.

Both guns make great youth pig guns.
