Wash., although I shoot now carbons, I no longer have a saw so I had mine cut at the shop and used epoxy to glue my inserts in. At least in my case I would not try to remove my inserts.

In my honest opinion..........find a shop or someone experienced and good that you know and have them remeasure your arrows as you are at full draw. IF your arrows are hanging past the rest by 3-4", get them cut off about 3/4"-1" past your rest using an arrow cutoff saw. Then glue in new inserts or have them glued in for you. Make sure they are cut off with a good arrow cutoff saw or those carbons will be splintered and cracked!
