Default RE: Why can't I pull more weight?

Well, I can't pull much more than 60 pounds on a round wheel bow now. At 6'6" and 350, I don't have many guys calling ME a 'girly-boy.' [>:] A lot of them remember that, 15 years ago, I was shooting an 80 pound compound for field archery, regularly shot a 120 pound longbow, and had a 100 pound Martin Cougar XRG banned from the range after I broke a brand new McKenzie deer with it. The impact from that 2419 busted it off at the knees. (Those early McKenzies had spindly legs anyway.)

I had my day with heavy draw weight bows and now my shoulders are paying for it. I wish now I'd never shot over 65 pounds. Odd thing is, I get the same speed with the same arrow today with my 60 pound ProTec that I got back then with my 80 pound ProVantage.

Just something to think about, Bowman.[&:]
