That simply is not true. Alt said the buck harvest would return to normal the second year of AR because we would be harvesting the buck saved by AR the previous year, but it didn't work. Since the PGC claims the herd is increasing ,even with the changes in the antler restrictions the harvest of 2.5 buck should have increased and combined with the harvest of 2.5+ the uck harvest should have increased.

I do not complain there are not enough deer, however I do believe that the new OWDD gaols are much to low and do not represent the true carrying capacity of the habitat. There is absolutely no reason to cut the herd in 5 C to 6 DPSM. That would be gross mismanagement and clearly shows the OWDD goals are outdated.

Alt said we would have more and bigger buck than we ever had before in PA and that his plan would balance the herd with the habitat. Neither objective has been met so his plan has failed.
