Default RE: best time to hunt

I'd disagree slightly. I find that deer are more alert when there's a heavy wind, rain, etc. They know their senses are dulled and seem to be more weary because of it. But I have found deer seem to move more in a slight drizzle.

I once hunted squirrels in a heavily hunted area near an airport. The squirrels had learned to freeze up whenever a plane landed or tookoff. They would stop whatever they were doing and look around. After the noise died down they would go back to whatever they were doing before.
