I have been shooting the Gold Tip XT's for the last few years and have found they got the job done and are a tough arrow but had a big wieght variance in a dozen.
Today I picked up a dozen Easton Axis 400's I had them cut 1" off the nock end then cut them to lenght 27.5" install the insets (way cool new idea with the insert completely inside the shaft) and fletch them with 4" Dura Vanes.
When I weighed them again minus the field points as it takes 24 hours for the glue to dry I ended up with 1 arrow @ 299.5gr's and 1 @ 301.6 gr's the other 10 came in at 300 gr's.
Once I went through the field tip box and weighed out 12 that where all 100.3gr's I will end up with my arrows just about spot on the 400gr's I am looking for.
Wont know how they shoot untill tomorrow afternoon.
But I will say this compared to the GT's they are skinny little buggars

and I should get good penetration with them.
