Ultra-Light 50AE Sledgehammer-
The Tromix Ultra-Light Sledgehammer provides the user with a very quick handling, lightweight carbine using the same stainless steel barrel blanks as the full size uppers, however these barrels are turned to .750” diameter in order to reduce weight. The final weight will vary depending on the gun’s exact configuration and caliber, but typically, the 50AE Ultra-Light rifle will weigh in at 5 ½ pounds unloaded. Compare that to a typical AR-15 A2 .223 caliber rifle, which weighs 8 ½ pounds. Keep in mind however, with the weight reduced to 5 ½ pounds, recoil velocity is substantially increased and would certainly not be welcome in the hands of a wimp.
