Turkeys in the Spring do a lot of what most hunters call "shock gobbling." Gobblers often gobble at loud noises or anything that makes them excited or mad. A lot of times if you shoot a turkey or hear a gun go off...you will hear other gobblers answer to the gun going off. The same is true for owls, crows, and coyotes. Turkeys don't like any of the three and will shock gobble at any of them. Crow calls work good anytime of day and especially in the morning and owl and coyotes are great for locating on the roost.
