This is a silly discussion. Both the .223 and the .22-250 are excellent rounds if used within their capabilities. Personally, I prefer the .223 but only because I seldom, actually never, get a shot beyond 150 yds.. If I hunted where I could get longer shots I would buy a .22-250. When my shots are limited to under 150 yds. why pay $12.00 per box when I only need to spend $6.00? I'm sure the critters don't know, or care, what I'm shooting.
