Hoythunter I was fortunate to harvest a spike on the very first time I went out with a bow. That was in 1981 and I didn"t kill another until 1988. Since then I 've taken only 7 others 4 does and 3 bucks. Total of 9 deer since starting in 1981. Don't get discouraged sooner or later you will connect and when you do your in for the thrill of a life time.
