Never sell a gun that you like to get another gun, keep the guns, save money for your project.
BTW- how does your M1 shoot?

If it shoots big groups, there are little tricks that you can do to get it to shoot to a level of "hunting acuracy" that cost nearly nothing. When you start looking to get a sub 1 moa gun then it will cost you.
