Default RE: Hardest Species?

No species get hunted harder than an eatern in the north east. To many hunters and not enough ground to hunt them on!!!! I have a friend that has takin turkeys in California, North Carolina and Virgina. All these birds were either takin off military bases(low hunting pressure) or private property(low hunting pressure). When he goes home to Pa and hunts on public land he never sees a Gobbler. So my theory is public land eastern gobblers are harder to hunt!!!! Oh buy the way i might add that on his california hunt he and his buddy who never been turkey hunting before bagged a double. Go figure<img src=icon_smile_question.gif border=0 align=middle>

So if you really want to experience a challenging turkey hunting come hunt a Pa,Ny,Md Gobbler on opening day.
