The main thing is always, watch the wind directions and don't hunt directly over the scrape line.
Yep as long as you can watch the scrape line and still be a good distance off with a favorable wind your odds go up considerably. I don't like hunting bedding areas at all only if a scrape(s) is near the area and then I stay as far as possible from the scrape line but within range of any bucks that will show up. The 2 bucks I shot this year investigating the same scrape were nowhere near a bedding area but were near a feeding area and were looking for does that should have been in the fields feeding at that time of the morning.
