i went to c-dale back in the 80's. you couldn't keep a firearm in the dorms, but you could leave it with campus security and still get access to it 24-7. campus security was just like a police station. marilyn hogan was in charge of it, her husband (ed hogan) was the chief for the c-dale p.d.

some bowhunters kept their bows in their rooms.

i don't think a person could do that these days.
