8mm/06 did a fine job of describing the Belgian Mauser....excellent!

If you like this gun and want to shoot it cheap, you should not rebarrel it to .308 Winchester. The strength just isn't there.

Personally, I'd buy 40 rounds of Norma ammo and either get someone to reload it or learn to reload myself.....it's a truly powerful round.
