Absolutely. I have no trouble finding the optimal load with a 308. I have done it many times over. Velocity spreads will be lower, and no mistaking the best load. With a 30-06, or 300win mag, or whatever, they can be just as accurate, but I bet I would beat someone at finding a optimal load with a 308 than a 30-06.
