I think it is the shooters choice and confidence in his ability. If i have a good rest and the deer is in the open i will not hesitate to try. I Have shot 2 deer that way both 1 shot kills. It's your choice. But if mr. buck comes by me i feel confident enough to take a crack at him! Happy Hunting!
