Default RE: Fly Fishing vs Spinning Gear

guess it really depends on what I am fishing. Now that I have moved to Alaska fly fishing rules. Back in Mn you would be hard pressed to pull walleyes up from the deep with a fly rod although I am sure it could be done!

Yup here there are salmon galore, trout, grayling, char, pike, sheefish..heck I bet I am leaving some out....all of them are great fly fishing opportunities..heck even lakers in the spring and fall when the come up in the shallows!

I have to admit though that after days if not weeks of fishing (back when I was a little crazier living in the barracks hammering kings as much as I could) casting all that weight just to get down deep enough really left something to be desired so out came the bait caster! I do love flyfishing though...I think I like fly tying even better!
