A Weatherby in 270 seems like an oxymoron --- aren't they supposed to have the word "magnum" in the cartridge descriptor?

Only you can answer the question --- go with the one that FEELS best to you. Try the "closed eyes" test with both at a store that can lay out both in front of you and go with the feel --- assuming you consider them equals otherwise.

I did such a test between Ruger Safari Magnum, Win M-70, and CZ550 Safari Magnum and the CZ won it hands down --- least expensive too!
