I was pretty impressed with the overall feel of the Xtec. Enough to recommend it to someone who is interested. However, as mentioned above, when you consider the price there are other bows out there that may be a better buy.

And as Tfox made mention to above, when you see "40-80" pound weights listed for a bow's description that means that the bow is offered in peak weights of 40, 50, 60, 70 and 80 pounds. Each of those is adjustable approximately 10 lbs lower in weight. So, an 80 lb peak weight model is only adjustable down to about 70 lbs...not all the way down to 40.
